I hope you are doing well. I am reaching out from the UIC College of Medicine Rockford MERIT Program to share an upcoming opportunity for families in our community. The MERIT Program and RSAC are partnering to host a free parent and caregiver education event, “Body Safety & Beyond,” on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 6:00–7:30 PM at UIC College of Medicine Rockford.

This event will feature Kimberly King and will focus on providing caregivers with practical, age-appropriate tools to support children’s safety, confidence, and communication. The program is especially relevant for families with children ages 0–14.

• Free for parents, caregivers, and anyone raising children in Winnebago County

Due to the emergency day used on March 16, the last day of school is now Thursday, May 21 for Early Childhood, and Friday, May 22 for K-11 grades. Seniors' last day will stay the same on Friday, May 8.

Reminder: $5.00 wristbands will be sold during lunches for the rest of the week! Rec Night is this Friday! See flyer for more info!

All RPS 205 schools will be closed tomorrow, Monday, March 16, due to weather. All after-school activities will also be cancelled, including Y Care. The RPS 205 Administration Building, Sterling Holley, & the Operations Support Center will be open.

Glow Rec Night is next Friday, make sure you purchase your wristband!!

Join us at 27 Aluna Restaurant (124 N. Main St, Rockford) this Saturday from 11 AM–1 PM for an open house reception. Student artwork from Eisenhower, Flinn, Barbour, & Kennedy will be on display through March 21. Come support our talented middle school artists!
